The current MLB regular season is usually scheduled to have 162 games which are organized into home games and road games. It is generally known that the baseball teams play 6 days every week, usually Monday and Thursday could have no game played. The games are often played at night, but according to the time of the year, more day games can be expected during June, July, and August.

The baseball teams fight for one of the four playoff berths in their league throughout the course of a season. They could win one of the berths through being the winner of their division, or by means of a wild card.
